Closet Look #12: By The Lake

It's early June the perfect time to travel down to my childhood home on the lake. Where I

caught my first fish with my dad, had long serious talks with my mom about stupid boys, where I first kissed and fell in love with my now husband. Now many many years later we revisit such a beautiful place where so much good happened. The one place that seems to stay perfect like a perfectly crafted painting. I see my old bike in the garage, still in good shape from what I can tell. I look inside the basket and see a bottle of champagne, flowers, some cheese and crackers and a note. It reads, "My love meet me at the place you said yes to our forever." A tear rolls down my cheek as I think of that magical night by the lake where the stars shone so bright, and the moon gave off this perfect lighting that mirrored onto the lake surface. Where the one man that to this day still takes my breath away, bent down on one knee looking up at me with tears in his eyes asking me " Will you be my forever?" Riding down to the dock I look into the water smiling at the little playful fish my heart racing with excitement waiting for that king of mine to arrive.
